Risk Management Framework (RMF) Federal Government (non-DoD) 5 Day (RMF - Federal)

The 5-day RMF Federal (non-DoD) class is an intensive and comprehensive look at the NIST SP 800-37 RMF Certification and Accreditation (C&A) Process. We will look at all seven steps of the RMF C&A Process and how to apply the associated NIST and FIPS standards. We will also look at the various roles associated with the C&A process such as the AO, ISSO, ISSM, CAR as well as others. We will look at evolution of the regulatory process related FISMA which directs NIST RMF C&A. A deep dive into NIST SP 800-53 and 53A control categories will be accomplished as well.

The delegates that take this course will have a sound understanding of the Federal requirements of the certification and accreditation (C&A) process which allows government agencies and departments to understand risk related to the systems used in their organizations.
